This Privacy Policy explains how ZoltVPN ("ZoltVPN", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our applications, websites, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not require your real name, phone number, or address to create an account.

Billing information. If you purchase a paid subscription, payment is processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers — we retain only what is necessary for subscription management, such as plan, status, and renewal dates.

Connection metadata. To operate the VPN service and enforce your plan (device limits, data caps, connection duration), our servers temporarily process a connection timestamp and the amount of data used during an active session. This information is used to enforce your plan limits and is not retained as a permanent per-destination browsing log.

What we do not log. We do not log the websites or services you visit, your DNS queries, or the content of your traffic while connected to the VPN.

Device and diagnostic information. Our apps may collect basic device information (app version, operating system version, crash reports) to help us diagnose and fix bugs. This information is not linked to your browsing activity.

2. How we use information

• To create and maintain your account and authenticate you when you sign in.
• To provide, maintain, and improve the VPN service, including enforcing plan limits (device count, data caps, trial durations).
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To send you service-related communications, such as email verification, subscription expiry notices, and support responses.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or violations of our Terms & Conditions.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

• Payment processors (e.g. Stripe), to process subscription payments.
• Infrastructure and hosting providers, who host the servers that run the Service, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Law enforcement, only when required by a valid legal process, and only to the extent of information we actually hold — which, given our no-logs architecture, does not include a record of the sites or services you accessed while connected.

4. Data retention

We retain account and billing information for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward as required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. Connection metadata used for plan enforcement is retained only as long as necessary for that purpose and is not kept as a permanent activity log.

5. Your rights and choices

You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time from the Profile section of the app. Deleting your account removes your active subscription and personal account data, subject to the retention requirements described above. You may also contact us at any time to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or to ask questions about this policy.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
